This guidance for food businesses looking to operate during the COVID-19 pandemic has been produced to help employers, employees and the self-employed understand how to work safely in the food sector. It provides a practical framework to identify what food sites need to do to continue, adapt, or restart operations. It covers the following areas:
- Hygiene processes and requirements
- Risk assessment and review
- Managing stock levels – stock control, availability of raw materials, Availability of consumables
- Allergen control
- Social distancing
